Installation

Benign INC.

In October 2021, the installation Benign INC. was featured at the Mt. Caz Artist Residency.

Benign INC., short for Benign Incorporeal Beings, was an installation exploring the unlived selves that are shed when an individual chooses another life path. These unlived selves were embodied by ghostly sewing patterns that belonged to my late mother. Viewers of this installation contributed items that embodied an unlived self that they hoped to either shed or pay tribute to.

Liminal Atrophy

In May 2021, I hosted a by-appointment viewing of the installation Liminal Atrophy in the former apartment that I shared with my ex-partner.

Centered around loss, isolation, and unfulfilled promise, this installation featured every piece of discarded trash that was left in the dingy apartment once my partner had decided to leave. I curated piles of debris in conceptual sculptural form and invited guests to sit with me in the trash where we shared stories of loss and hurt.
