Mending, 2021 was a series of sculptural pieces created using collected plastics and cardboard seeking to embody my reflections on my displacement, abandonment, and to draw parallels with my mother’s displacement after her burial
Fetal Tumor
Fetal Tumor, 2020 was a textural tumor formed from toilet paper, acrylic medium, and dried flowers to craft the physicality of the emotions associated with the cancerous tumors that overtook my mother’s body as she succumbed to cancer
Final Rest
Final Rest, 2020 was a sculptural recreation of my late mother’s final resting form wrapped in a burial shroud and accompanied by flowers, hot glue, and tumourous protrusions
